Senna
The Redeemer
Cursed from childhood to be haunted by the Black Mist, killed and imprisoned in Thresh's lantern — then reborn, wielding darkness along with light.
Senna Overview
A unique hybrid marksman-support who grows infinitely stronger through every death near her.
Senna is one of League's most mechanically distinct champions — a Marksman who functions as a Support, and a champion who deliberately avoids last-hitting minions to grow her passive stacks. Her Absolution passive lets her collect Mist from enemies that die near her, stacking infinitely to permanently increase her Attack Damage, Attack Range, Lifesteal, and the shield power of her ultimate.
Unlike every other champion in League, Senna's attack speed is capped very low — but her individual attacks deal dramatically more damage and have far greater range than any other marksman. She compensates for slow attack speed with a slow, powerful, methodical playstyle that rewards patient trading.
Her kit is deceptively complete: a heal-and-damage beam (Q) that can target anything on the map including wards and minions, a global root (W), a team-wide camouflage (E) that makes her entire team invisible and untargetable, and a global ultimate (R) that shields every ally across the entire map while dealing damage to enemies in the center.
Abilities
Full breakdown with exact numbers. Senna's kit scales infinitely through Mist — every stack permanently powers her up.

Absolution
Weakened Soul: Senna's attacks and abilities apply a stack of Mist to enemy champions for 4 seconds. The second hit consumes the mark, dealing bonus physical damage equal to 1%–10% (based on level) of target's current health and granting a Mist stack.
Mist Wraiths: Enemies that die near Senna may spawn a Mist Wraith for 8 seconds. Enemy champions always spawn one. Large monsters always spawn one. Minions Senna kills have an 8.4% chance; minions she doesn't kill have a 28% chance. Epic monsters spawn 2 Wraiths. Collecting a Wraith grants 8 Mist stacks and souls from champions grant 25 Mist stacks.
Each Mist stack permanently grants +0.75 Bonus AD, Attack Range, Crit Chance, and Lifesteal. Senna's attacks fire slowly but deal significantly more damage — she is one of only 17 champions with a truly infinite scaling mechanic.

Piercing Darkness
From the twin barrels of her Relic Cannon, Senna fires a unified beam of light and shadow through a target — healing allied champions hit by the beam and dealing physical damage to enemies. The beam also slows enemies hit.
Critically, the ability can be targeted at any unit on the map — including wards, minions and turrets — not just champions. This makes Q an extremely flexible tool for healing allies from behind minion lines. Basic attacks reduce Q's cooldown by 1 second, rewarding aggressive auto-attack weaving.

Last Embrace
Senna throws a globule of Black Mist that sticks to the first enemy it hits, dealing physical damage. After a 1 second delay, the Mist spreads from the target, rooting them and all nearby enemies for up to 2.25 seconds. If the target dies before the delay ends, the Mist spreads and roots immediately.
The delayed root makes Last Embrace a tricky ability to use solo, but devastating in combination with ally CC. The instant-root on target death is an underrated mechanic — throw W on a minion about to die, and everything nearby gets rooted immediately.

Curse of the Black Mist
Senna draws the Mist stored in her relic cannon into a storm around her, becoming a wraith within it. All allies who enter the area also become wraiths — gaining increased movement speed, becoming unselectable, and having their identities hidden from the enemy. Wraiths appear as generic Black Mist creatures, concealing which champions are inside.
This is one of the most unique abilities in League — a team-wide near-invisibility field with no equivalent elsewhere. It enables powerful engage setups, enables safe retreats, and allows the whole team to rotate without ward detection.

Dawning Shadow
Senna calls upon the relic stones of fallen Sentinels, splitting her relic cannon into a holy array of shadow and light. She fires a global beam — the center of the beam deals physical damage to enemies caught in it, while a wider outer beam shields every allied champion it touches across the entire map.
The shield scales with Senna's total Mist collected, growing stronger as the game goes on. Late game with 100+ stacks, Dawning Shadow provides an enormous shield to every ally — making it one of the best defensive ultimates in the game for teamfights anywhere on the map.
Skins & Cosmetics
9 skins — from True Damage to High Noon, LV collab and Immortalized Legend.
Build & Runes
Two build paths — Support (enchanter items) and Marksman (crit/AD). Both scale infinitely with Mist.
Q max first, then W, then E
Do NOT last hit minions as support Senna. Let them die near you for the 28% wraith spawn chance — you get far more Mist this way.
Q targeting: You can cast Piercing Darkness on any unit — target allied minions or wards behind enemy lines to heal teammates who are out of direct range. This is Senna's most underused mechanical edge.
W on dying minions: Throw Last Embrace on a low-health minion about to die. When it dies, the mist spreads instantly for a guaranteed root on nearby enemies — no 1-second delay.
E engage: Use Curse of the Black Mist to hide your team's engage champions. A Malphite or Amumu walking inside E appears as a generic Mist wraith — the enemy can't identify the threat until it's too late.
R timing: Don't save Dawning Shadow for too long. The cooldown is long but the global shield is best used proactively — right before a teamfight breaks out, not reactively.
Lore
From the Black Mist to the Lantern — Senna's journey from Sentinel to Redeemer.
Cursed from childhood to be haunted by the supernatural Black Mist, Senna grew up marked by death itself. The Black Mist would reach for her, and rather than succumb, she fought back — joining the Sentinels of Light, a sacred order dedicated to combating the Black Mist and the horrors of the Shadow Isles.
As a Sentinel, Senna wielded a relic cannon and fought alongside her husband Lucian. They were a formidable team — until the day they encountered Thresh, the Chain Warden. In a devastating ambush, Thresh captured Senna's soul and imprisoned it within his lantern, believing she was gone forever.
But Senna refused to lose hope. Inside the lantern, surrounded by the souls of the dead, she learned to commune with the Mist itself — understanding its nature, its hunger, and its pain. Rather than be consumed by it, she began to channel it, turning the Black Mist into a weapon of her own. After years of imprisonment, Lucian finally freed her — but she was fundamentally changed.
Now reborn, Senna wields both light and darkness simultaneously. Her relic cannon channels the souls she has redeemed from the Mist, each one powering her weapon further. She seeks not just to fight the Black Mist but to end it entirely — by turning it against itself, redeeming the lost souls within, and using their freed power to destroy the source of the corruption.
Her relationship with Lucian is one of the most emotionally resonant in League lore — two people who lost each other to something beyond either's control, reunited but forever changed, continuing to fight side by side against darkness that never truly ends.
