Overview
Everything you need to know about Jinx, the gleeful agent of chaos from Zaun's undercity.
An unhinged and impulsive criminal from the undercity, Jinx is haunted by the consequences of her past — but that doesn't stop her from bringing her own chaotic brand of pandemonium to Piltover and Zaun.
She uses her arsenal of DIY weapons to devastating effect, unleashing torrents of colorful explosions and gunfire, inspiring the disenfranchised to rebellion and resistance with the mayhem she leaves in her wake.
Jinx is a traditional marksman almost always found in the Bottom Lane paired with a support. She builds critical-damage items, has virtually no escape tools if engaged upon, and deals obscene amounts of damage if left unchecked in the late game — especially once her passive, Get Excited!, kicks in after a takedown, breaking the attack speed cap entirely.
Few champions swing a game as hard once ahead. Few punish being caught out as hard when behind. That volatility is the whole point of playing her.
Abilities
Full ability breakdown with exact values at current patch. Numbers shown as Rank 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5.

Innate: Whenever Jinx scores a takedown against an enemy champion, epic monster, turret, or inhibitor within 3 seconds of damaging them, she gains 175% bonus movement speed decaying over 6 seconds.
She is also allowed to exceed the attack speed cap and gains a stack of Get Excited! for the same duration, stacking up to 5 times. Only champion takedowns can grant stacks beyond the first. Each stack grants 25% total attack speed, up to a maximum of 125%.

Toggle: Jinx switches between Pow-Pow, her minigun, and Fishbones, her rocket launcher.
Pow-Pow: Basic attacks generate a stack of "Rev'd Up" for 2.5s (refreshes, stacks up to 3), each granting bonus attack speed — first stack at full value, later stacks at 50%.
Fishbones: Attacks cost mana and deal 110% AD physical damage to the target and nearby enemies (can crit). Grants bonus attack range but reduces bonus attack speed by 10% while equipped.

Jinx fires her shock pistol, Zapper, in the target direction, dealing physical damage to the first enemy hit and applying a significant slow, while revealing the target for 2 seconds.
A reliable poke and pick tool in lane — frequently used to confirm kills and chain into the movement speed burst from Get Excited!

Jinx tosses out 3 Chompers at the target location. They land after 0.4s, arm after 0.75s, and explode after 5s to deal magic damage to nearby enemies.
Each Chomper explodes on contact with an enemy champion, knocking them down and rooting them for 1.5 seconds. An enemy can only be affected by one Chomper per cast — essential crowd control for an otherwise mobility-less champion.

Jinx fires a massive rocket in the target direction, gaining sight of its surroundings as it travels — all the way across the map if needed. The rocket explodes on colliding with an enemy champion, dealing physical damage to nearby enemies and granting sight of the area for 2 seconds.
Damage scales 10%–100% based on distance traveled, plus bonus damage based on the target's missing health. Nearby enemies take 80% of the primary damage. One of the most iconic global ultimates in League — capable of snipes across the entire map.

Lore
The Loose Cannon — from Powder to Jinx.
Born Powder in the undercity of Zaun, she grew up as a sweet, innocent girl who loved tinkering with machinery but never quite fit in. When their parents were killed by Piltover Enforcers, Powder and her older sister Vi were taken in by Vander, the leader of the failed undercity uprising, alongside their adopted siblings Claggor and Mylo.
Tragedy struck when Powder, attempting to help rescue Vander from Piltover's enforcers, accidentally triggered an explosion that killed Vander, Mylo, and Claggor. Devastated and believing her own sister had abandoned her after Vi was arrested, Powder spiraled into despair — haunted by hallucinations and voices that branded her "broken" and a "jinx." She abandoned her old name entirely, becoming the chaotic, gleeful agent of destruction known today as Jinx.
Taken in by the crime lord Silco, Jinx found a twisted father-daughter bond with him, encouraged to pursue her talents as an inventor and gunslinger. As one of Silco's most feared enforcers, she became a notorious figure throughout Piltover and Zaun, gaining infamy for her dangerous "pranks" against the ruling houses of Piltover.
Jinx's story was dramatically expanded in the Netflix animated series Arcane, voiced by Ella Purnell, which explores her transformation from Powder into the icon of chaos players know today — and her deeply complicated relationship with her sister Vi.
